Thus saith the Lord, Let not the wise man glory in his wisdom, neither let the mighty man glory in his might, let not the rich man glory in his riches: But let him that glorieth glory in this, that he understandeth and knoweth me, that I am the Lord which exercise lovingkindness, judgment, and righteousness, in the earth: for in these things I delight, saith the Lord (Jer 9:23-24).

Knowing God personally is the most important accomplishment in this life.  Some may know God from an intellectual standpoint, or know of Him vicariously through others. Our Creator wants to speak to each of us heart to heart and to have intimate one on one relationship.  God has no "step-children" in his family.

The word says to be still and know that I Am God (Ps 46:10).  We become familiar to His voice when we train our ears to hear.  We also see Him as we spend time in the Word of God:  But we all, with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the Lord, are changed into the same image from glory to glory, even as by the Spirit of the Lord
(2 Cor 3:18).

As we make time in our busy schedules to listen to that still small voice from within, we may need to turn off the television, computer and the cellphone to give God our undivided attention.  Or we may have to rise up earlier in order to spend quality time in prayer before the demands of life pull us off in various directions.

God wants us to make Him the central point of our existence. Not our jobs, our career success, our bank accounts.  All of these things are insignificant in comparison to attaining Christ in our lives and knowing Him for ourselves.  Yet, when we seek first the Kingdom of God and his righteousness, all these things will be added to us as well.

God promises to bless everything that we put our hands to do when our hearts are right towards him.  He then gets the glory out of our success because He delights in our prosperity.  He knows how much we can handle or what will be detrimental to our spiritual growth and maturity.  When we know Him, we can trust that Father always knows best and desires our highest good. The blessing of the Lord make us rich and adds no sorrow with it!

Be blessed and walk in dominion!
